This is a teacher’s rant about the President’s ideas on reform.

Key Points: I have not seen the proposed changes to testing however, in the President’s defense, how do we measure effectiveness of the process without some form of testing?
My other question is, does the old recycled clothes a child wears or tattered books really hurt their education? My personal experience says no, and bringing up things like that only weakens her argument in my eyes as a kid who grew up with nothing but a willingness to work. Being poor doesn’t mean you will always be poor in this country .
